ClosetMaid 1107 Decorative 3-Cube Storage Organizer, White

Like others said, this is particle board--however, the price is GREAT for what it accomplishes. I had horrid wire cube storage in my laundry room and decided to swap it out for these. The look is so much cleaner. I am horrible at assembling things and usually have to wait until my husband agrees to assemble things. I purchased two of these. The first one, I followed the instructions closely and it was like 25 minutes (only because I had distractions!). SUPER easy! The second one I got cocky and winged it--made mistakes and it collapsed and I ended up crushing two of the dowels and also damaging a shelf--this was on me. Had I followed the instructions and the order they use it would not have happened. That said, it wouldn't cost them much to throw in a couple of extra dowels they are delicate--why I lopped a star of for sturdiness. Anyway, so I assembled and put on top of the long wire shelf in my laundry room. The size of these cubes is perfect for storage>. I have detergent in one, towels in another and cleaners in others, small appliances and hurricane lanterns in others (I have 16 cubes altogether from three different units of these). Everything looks neat and organized. I spent under $200 and completely transformed my laundry room! I did the same with a smaller sized unit of theirs for my pantry. I used to have things either stacked on top of each other or in those horrid wire cubes. Now everything looks organized and clean. Planning to do closets next. Again, this is inexpensive particle board so be careful during assembly--but it looks clean and fantastic in the end.

I know what you’re thinking. How can I give a product a five star review but rate the sturdiness and durability at a one— well, I’ll get to that.First things first, the product was super easy to assemble. I’m pretty stupid when it comes to putting things together, but this took me only 15-20 minutes … which, under a few hours is record timing for me.When assembled you’ll notice the product is VERY shaky. You can pretty much rock it side to side with enough force. Of course this is when the shelves are empty, so it’s to be expected.When I put some of my records on it, and my record player on top it stayed in places rather nicely. So far I have had no problems. It looks so great.I feel like this product would be great for a kids bedroom or even for someone who collects figures and wants to put them on display.Is it worth the price? I think so… will it hold up forever? I’ll keep you updated. Neither the instructions or the box detailed just how much weight the stand can withhold— so I ended up referring to here and decided to spread my records throughout to avoid any kind of breakage down the road (unpictured; pictured was before).

The two main reasons this got 4 stars instead of 5 are these: 1. It was NOT "easy" for one person to assemble this being that every time you had a dowel or two in place to secure each section, the whole thing would shimmy apart again. Very frustrating. A second person helping to hold it together while the other person pushes the pieces together is ideal. 2. There IS a backing that matches the wood pattern of the piece BUT.... it's only for show and made of flimsy cardboard. Just blowing on it, now assembled, makes the backing wobble. Our concern is if it bulges or warps, it could cause it to bulge so far away from the main piece that it will look cheesy. We would have much rather preferred a thin piece of particle board to adhere more securely to the back of it. We're probably going to secure the cardboard - with great care - to the horizontal pieces of the organizer in hopes that it will be better secured and less likely to bulge. Cardboard al most never keeps its original shape unless pressed against a glass frame etc. This has nothing to press against except on each far side.*The color is as shown - very pretty aesthetically. We like the weathered gray look.*It stands up well either vertically or horizontally. We chose the horizontal position for safety reasons and how it fits in with our décor.*It's holding a good number of books in 4 of the 6 cubicles - some books are heavy - I corned the books in the cubicles so the whole piece was well balanced though.* It arrived quickly and in good shape.All in all, we like it for the price.

I had this together in less than an hour and it was really simple. I've put a lot of stuff like this together over the years so I do have some experience but even so, the instructions are very clear and easy to follow.This particular one was my choice because it has a backer board on it to add stability. It was a little wobbly without it but as soon as I got it nailed in place, it's solid as a rock. For extra stability, I did add an extra nail between each pre-marked nail since the load was going to be so heavy.I am storing my record collection in it and it's exactly what I wanted. As you can see in my photo, it's a little under half full of records. I will have no qualms stacking another 1x3 unit on top of it if my vinyl addiction gets totally out of control! :^D***IF YOU ARE STORING RECORDS: MAKE SURE TO TURN IT ON ITS SIDE SO THAT THE SHORTER DIVIDERS ARE VERTICAL AND SITTING ON TOP OF THE LONGER HORIZONTAL BOARDS. THIS WILL ADD STABILITY AND STRENGTH TO HOLD THE HEAVY LOAD. AS OF THIS EDIT, I CURRENTLY HAVE ABOUT 50 ALBUMS IN EACH CUBE AND THERE'S ABSOLUTELY NO SIGN OF SAGGING.

I have one of these already and it's great. Although I prefer Ikea's Kallax stands, they don't make them in a 6 cube. These are the very next best brand to me. They are sturdy and have a gloss to them. As well as easy to put together with very minimal work. So far I have a lightweight 50" TV on it and plan to add 4 bins. I have read in the reviews that someone used it for a TV stand as well. I'm keeping my eye on it to make sure there is no bowing. So far so good!!! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Works perfectly, except backing was very flimsy so I added a sheet of plywood to the back and now its as sturdy as could possibly want.

Vino roto; no es estable

All parts were included, labelled and instructions were easy to follow. It took my son roughly a half hour to assemble. Quite sturdy and holds about 75% of my albums. I will be ordering another one. Even though it is a great product, I think it is a bit pricey for the size.

Buena calidad , es resistente

Fits my vinyl collection perfectly, I'm quite happy with what I got. I've got over 250 records in this thing and I've still got space for more. Really fantastic and at an incredible price.
