Extremely BIG floodlight with a massive weight factor that requires consideration !
Viugreum 500W LED Floodlight.Well let me say that I should have read and absorbed the overall dimensions prior to ordering as this unit is HUGE. To get this in proportion the actual size of this floodlight is 18 x 12” inches in old money, with a weight factor that is over 9lb ..... 4134g to be precise. The dimensions description states 240g and that's what threw me. Where they get that from is beyond me !! Its big. Its massive with this big weight factor thrown in. For a bog standard 500w light it is somewhat excessive. At ground level I did try it out however and make no mistake it gives off a hell of a light. Due in part of course to the fact that its a 6000K white light which makes it even brighter. Ohh I just wish that I could have fitted it but the apex of my roof is to small given its size and it certainly wouldn’t hold its weight. On a excessively windy day such as we have all had recently, I shudder to think of the damage that it could have done to the apex tiling. As its the size of a kite then wind placement must be a consideration. It was to be fitted externally at high level throwing its brilliant light over the front lawn area. Would have loved this thing but its simply to heavy. Fixing this floodlight somewhere off the top of a ladder would not be ideal situation. It clearly require a very firm wall fixing with heavy bolts. That's right bolts and not just a couple of screws. It will require bolts for a firm fix. Its a great floodlight however.Regretfully I have had to return it back to Amazon. Such a pity. Could possibly have got away with its size somewhere at high level but certainly not the weight. All IMHO of course.

Blindingly bright
6000k (white light version) is an ideal output for growing plants. I'd previously used two 200w versions of this and an older model from a different manufacturer. The old one died so I bought two 500w of this model to replace it.The 500w version is just a bigger, brighter & hotter (physically) version of the 200w lamp. The 500w is blindingly bright. You wouldn't want to look directly at it up close. It's like looking at the sun.My 200w models have been working for 3 years so I can't see why these would be any less quality.Light loving plants love these. If you're wanting them to light up a workshop or some other regular use I can't think of any reason they wouldn't do an excellent job. Compared to a 500w halogen these are significantly brighter. 50,000 lumens from one light is a massive output. The only issue I can think of is if you're putting them outside you'll need to be thorough waterproofing the connection. It's just a bare wire about 30cm long (and quite thin) so it might be a struggle to find a connector that can seal a wire that narrow.I've used all sorts of lights for growing plants over the last 30 years and these are the best I've ever used.

The lighting is very bright
The only thing that can make it better is the switch built into the device itself or the wire. It provides a lot of light, it is small, and it can do what we need it to do. It has worked well so far.

Powerful and reliable
I've had this for around two years now, bought it at the time for around £60. It's extremely bright and reliable, and I can't fault it.
