PLEASE READ MY EDIT 3/27/24
My cat had to be hand fed from 3 days old. When he was old enough to start eating, I gave him this and he loved it. He still loves it but the other older cat won't touch it so if your cat is picky, or loves something else, it may not like this but it might be a nice change. Also, this is makes a good amount of food. My cat is a large breed and he eats quite a bit and this will last me a month if I give him 1 or 2 servings a day.EDIT: 8 boxes later, the last 3 boxes I've been seeing some weird inconsistencies even within the same box of food and my cat doesn't always love it either. Most of the time, the food smells and looks good and I assume it tastes good too. I make it with warm water just like it says and he likes to wait until it's completely cooled down but once in a while, (about 1/4 of the bag) looks almost like it has an oil slick on the top of it after it cools down and this stuff usually dries up pretty quickly but the stuff with the oily look, I've never seen it go completely dry. Another strange thing is that these oily servings are random throughout the bag. They're not all at the top or bottom, they're everywhere in small little sections it's very strange. The rest of it seems fine but I also want to note that my cat does not eat those oily servings and I can't tell if what I'm giving him is one of those until after it sits there for maybe a half hour and I can see that weird oily look. The biggest clue is that the bowl is still full he hasn't touched it. I did an experiment with one of these bowls and just left it out for a few days on top of the fridge and it kind of dried out on the top but not all the way and when I scooped it out into the garbage, it was still pretty wet inside. It doesn't make Sense but maybe it just doesn't get mixed enough at the factory. Quality control for laid off or something. Whatever it is, it's pretty disturbing because my cat loves this food. I'm glad he has enough sense not to eat this but he's eating from the same bag. Im waiting for 1 more box and I've decided the first time this happens again, I will return it and go somewhere else in order to find out if it's just the studs coming from Amazon or all of it. My cat gets a variety of food but unfortunately this is his favorite. Either way, he doesn't like it so I'll save the money for something else if this is their new standard. Come on honest kitchen! This doesn't seem like a natural, healthy OR honest food you're making. I sincerely hope I'm wrong about that. I am going to see if I can find a way to write to them and ask if they know about this. I will report back to this review because I really think this is a good product but something has gone wrong, people should know about it before feeding it to their cats or wasting their money.

Looks like mud, but the cats love it!
I dont know what this is but it definitely isnt cat food. I've tried 3 individual packets and the result is the same. I've used the recommended amount of water, I've used less water. Every single time it turns into the only thing I can describe is mud. There is zero smell. It does not form into a pate. Its just sludge. The cats turn their nose up at it and walk away.Edit: After some much trial and error we were able to find the right amount of water to use and made sure the water was warm. The cats absolutely love it and their both are empty rather quickly.

I wish this food had less carbs
This is good food, and I very much appreciate the use of clean ingredients & the absence of gums and other crap that my cats have no need for. Both my cats like the original Grace food - one took to it quickly and loves it beyond measure. I used it to give him food with no fear of competition from my other cat for about 5 years until he, having considered the matter carefully, decided he likes it too.But then, with no warning or explanation, Honest Kitchen is discontinuing their old food and presenting us with a new formula. OUCH. As anyone with a cat knows well, that is a royal PITA at best and a disaster at worst. Not appreciated, HK. At least keep the old food around for die hard fans like my Charlie. I do appreciate that the new formula is higher in protein and lower in fat. Fortunately I was able to snag one of the last boxes of the old food, to help with what is going to be a difficult transition. One other note: Honest Kitchen contains too much carbohydrate for a cat (11% for the turkey food, higher for other flavors). So I only feed my cats the turkey food, and at no more than half their diet (the other half is homemade raw with no added veggie fillers).

13 cats, no one will eat it
Honest Kitchen Turkey for cats smells really good to people but cats hate it. No wonder as it has sweet potatoes, potatoes and spinach. I don’t know about your cats but mine like meat. A couple will nibble on potatoes but none like sweet potatoes. I’d happily pay more for a dehydrated cat food that was species appropriate. This food is mostly potatoes and spinach which is not a species appropriate food for cats. I’ve thought about eating it myself , it smells that good. My dogs love it so I guess it’s not a total loss. I’m just disappointed in the company marketing this food for cats when clearly it has way too many carbohydrates and they hate it. My cats won’t even sniff it and turn their heads away. My outside cats which aren’t finicky at all, they’ll eat anything, won’t touch it.

Kitten loves it and is thriving with clean food!
Ingredients are so clean and healthy! He did not like it at first, but we mixed this with some dry kibble he likes and he accepted it, and now he eats The Honest Kitchen by itself and likes the whole bowl clean. :) Best consistency is half dry powder to half water. So, 1/4 cup powder to 1/4 warm water. It’s a great price too compared to other wet foods.

MUST TASTE DIFFERENT
I have been purchasing Honest Kitchen for my cat (& dogs) for years. My cat only likes the Turkey flavor that has always been in the pink box. When this one arrived, it was in a blue box & I didn't think anything of it, I figured they just changed the packaging. But from day one my cat doesn't want to eat this. Unfortunately, he's going to have to eat it because I can't afford to replace it. It's been several weeks now & he still has to be forced to eat a tiny little bit, much less that what I normally fed him. I like the Honest Kitchen products, but if this blue box has replaced the pink turkey box then it's a paw's down from this house.

High quality cat food and good value
I have been using this product for several months and my cats love it. It is made from human-grade meat, does not contain any needless ingredients and it is easy to prepare. My cats love it and their health has improved. In addition, this is a very good value as you can make a lot of food from on package.
