Highly recommend, and the author has a great way of teaching
I started with the fretboard book and then read this. I played guitar for years and recently began playing piano and not only did this help my guitar playing, but also helped my piano knowledge as I apply the scales to the piano. I would recommend it to anyone, looking to learn. I’m always the person looking to learn from anyone of any experience level. The most experience person can learn something new as well.

Intermediate
This book will be better suited when I improve ability and understanding of guitar, otherwise good. More technical than I thought.

Informative and Easy
I love the Guitar Head books. They are very easy to understand and fun to work from.

Not what I was looking fo
This book is not what I perceived it to be. You really need to be schooled in music theory to understand a lot of the information. It was over my head in a lot of cases. I still can't find the authors name although he writes about a lot of personal experiences. There is easier to understand information out there.

It’s ok but missing key points
Needs more progression info and less conjecture

Nicely written
I like this book because it is nicely written, the author realises how frustrating it is to understand music theory and puts it across in a great format. There are a lot of samples of Licks which I'm working my way through slowly and downloads of backing tracks but I haven't got that far yet.

Explains how to begin to play quite well.
Chords and scales was the first item to explain and this was done well with several examples to follow.
