The main issue with coffee is the beans and the grind. We are coffee snobs and have never liked 'pod' coffee but we were staying with my daughter who had a pod machine and we were desperate for a decent coffee. We found the nespresso ristresto pod excellent. It has a great crema and is as close as I can get to a ground 18g coffee. It is not worth trying the other brands but this is worth paying a little extra for. The taste is smooth not bitter, and is well rounded.

Even in small 0.85 oz shots, the aroma of spicy pepper and deep wood notes hits hard. It's intense but never harsh—just balanced with dark chocolate sweetness and velvety body. I often brew a flat white with this blend; the milk softens it just enough while keeping that bold, full flavor I love. Ideal for serious espresso lovers—but if you're into lighter, fruitier coffees, you may find it a bit over the top.

My husband likes a dark roast, but occasionally wants something lighter and less bitter. So, I decided to try out this version of Nespresso capsule. It has a nice, smooth flavor, and he’s please with it. It’s a bit pricey, given all the other options out there. But I’ll likely keep some of this version around consistently because of its quality.

This product is great. When brewing, the coffee smells fantastic. I love the variety packs too

Ristretto is absolutely the one and only real Italian Expresso taste.

Good condition and works in my machine. Smooth and medium roast.
