Perfect!
First, you have to know that in exactly one week I will be 80-years-old and I'm very weak. I really impressed myself when I was able to assemble this chair without any help. It took all the muscle power I have to push the arm rests into place. Attaching the back was easier. The legs gave me a problem because I misinterpreted the directions that show which way to turn the legs when you're attaching them. I spent a lot of time trying to get them in place before I figured out I needed to screw them in by turning them in the opposite direction.Once everything was installed, I adjusted the height of the legs (the initial setting was way too low for me). Moving them a couple notches higher made the chair the ideal height. I was relieved that my very ample rear fit on the seat. I was afraid attaching the arm rests would take up too much room to make sitting possible. It is no problem, though.Stability was at the top of the demands I made of this product. A fall in the shower would put me out of commission for a long time or maybe even forever. I needn't have worried. The chair's feet do not slide, the back doesn't give way, and the seat fully supports me.I spent hours shopping before deciding on this chair. I searched Amazon for shower chairs and benches and read reviews on every one I found -- at every star level. I did this over a period of two days and was very discouraged because it seemed like every chair had one-star reviews that scared me away from them. I came across several chairs that looked similar to this one, but again it was the reviews that made me move on. Then this chair popped up in my search results and I noticed it didn't have any one-star reviews (at least not at the time I first came to the page; I can't guess what future reviews might show up). That finally ended my search. I clicked the buy button. I'm so glad I did.As I mentioned, I am weak. In the shower I'm extra shaky and I depend on grab bars, but with this chair I can sit through most of the shower and that feels wonderful. No fear of falling. If I had to sit in a tub, I doubt I could pull myself into a standing position again, but with this chair, it's like sitting in a tub without being surrounded by dirty water. It's really a great benefit. Also, it makes washing the bottoms of my feet easy. Without the chair, standing, I was too weak to stand on one leg while washing the bottom of the foot on my other leg.Be sure to measure before buying. The width of the chair just makes it into the shower space I have. Maybe my shower is narrower than most. I have no idea what the standard measurement is. If the chair were a bit wider it would get in the way of the shower door.

Great product so far
This was easy to assemble, for the most part. The handles were a bit hard to get in and to "latch", but it's clearly so they don't go anywhere once they're in. I installed only one handle so that the user could slide in from the open side of the tub/shower. It's large, sturdy and you can adjust the height. The user reports finding it very helpful. The seat comes without a cushion, so depending on your body weight/type, it could be too hard. We solved this by adding a pad from an older shower chair. It seems to be perfect now.

Mixed thoughts
I think the chair is a great chair. But when you have a broken ankle and you're trying to steady yourself on it if you hold more on to one side than the other it's clearly going to tip to the side. Sitting on its perfectly fine and it feels very sturdy. A little bit slippery the seat but not too bad. Overall I like the chair I don't know there's anything they can do except maybe a stabilizer bar underneath it that has feet that goes off to the side so there's no way it can tip. I'm older but I'm not elderly and I just am a little concerned that this will tip if they put too much weight on one side while getting in or out. And honestly none of the other chairs look any better I think I could design a really sturdy chair with just the one bar that comes out from both sides and has feet so there's no way of it tipping I don't know.. But no I don't have any complaints when just sitting on it it feels pretty darn sturdy to me and light.

Shower Chair
I give it a Five Star Rating:I liked everything about the chair - easy to move around, very light to pickup and maneuver around. The only minor complain is that I find it a little too narrow with the handles, but that is ok because you can always remove them if you wish. The quality is great and the price is even greater. I highly recommend it. I don’t have Prime delivery and it arrive sooner than expected!
