FunkinPro Coconut Fruit Puree, 1 kg

Tastes great, mixes well and has a lovely pink colour for all your cocktails and mocktails. It is a little expensive for what is simply raspberry coulis but the packaging is highly convenient for storing it and it's a deceptively big pouch so you get quite a bit of it. Will definitely buy again!

Although this is primarily marketed as a fruit purée for cocktails I bought it to use in various food preparations. Normally I but the  Merchant Gourmet Chef's Raspberry Puree 1 Kg , but as that was out of stock and I had an urgent raspberry puree emergency I thought I'd give this a try, and I'm certainly happy that I did.Firstly the flavour is great, the purée is made simply with 90% raspberry and 10% sugar which seems the perfect balance of sweet and tart.A small thing but I really like the pouch they come in, its shape makes it easy to squash into a corner of a full fridge and the nozzle ensures it's easy to pour without making a mess.The purée has a great shelf life (over a year on the two I received) and once opened is good for 8 days.The Funkin range of purées is now my go to choice, really happy I gave them a try. Would highly recommend.

Use this for cocktails. Lovely taste. Froze the rest after opening and continue to use frozen so well used.

Funkin purees are always great tasting, and a good consistency for including in desserts. I just wish that they'd sell them in smaller packets, as often a kilo of the stuff is too much for my needs. Luckily they freeze well.

I literally can drink this neat. It has an amazing strong flavour. Perfect for a non-alcohol drinker like myself. Also would be great in a cocktail.

This is my go to company for cocktails, I honestly love their product and this is my absolute favourite when making pornstar martinis and mango and passion fruit smoothies. Great flavour I always buy this. Absolutely recommend

I was hoping for a smooth banana puree that smells and taste like fresh bananas. This unfortunately tastes like it was mashed while it was very overly ripe and puts the worst sort of banana flavour into things. It's also highly disconcerting to see banana juice with clumps in. I didn't even know that you could juice a banana! I'm 35 years old and until now I have never seen liquid released from a banana, even when you mashed one yourself. No clue how they make this but I will never be ordering it again.

Expensive but worth it. Made a divine mango cheescake, as well as puddings and cocktails.

Funkin is my favorite brand of fruit purees, they always produce a flavorful and consistently excellent product. This Morello Cherry puree in particular is amazing, fantastic flavor, color, and consistency. I primarily use purees in confections and desserts such as gelee, mousse, cake, cremeux, etc, which always exceed expectations, but they are also outstanding in drinks/smoothies/cocktails. One of the best features of this puree is that it’s shelf stable! Most other decent to premium purees need to be frozen or refrigerated, which results in time sensitive use and fills up the freezer, plus the premium frozen purees are typically significantly more expensive. Being able to have premium level fruit puree on hand whenever the need may arise is extremely convenient. Plus if you don’t want to use the entire contents of the pouch within a week or so, you can easily freeze small portions of puree for individual use, and they’ll take up very little space and last for months. I frequently portion out the puree in particular amounts for specific types of recipes for future use. I’ve bought dozens of Funkin purees, and I definitely would recommend them to others.
