It depends on what you mean by "dimmable." If you're asking whether the output voltage can be turned down low enough that a light will noticeably dim, then the short answer is NO, it isn't. The voltage can only be varied from approximately 11.5Volts to 14.5 Volts, a range of about 20%.Also, the voltage adjustment is done by a very small variable resistor located near the AC terminals, which would make casual adjustments risky due to the shock hazard. I've been an electronic technician for over 20 years, and could NOT recommend using this unit for that purpose. It's a good, stable power supply if you can stand the broadband RF noise it puts out, but it's better suited to applications where the voltage is set and then left there.Hope this helps.

Q: it is possible to join two of these for 60A? I need this amp to power a car amplifier at home.

I have ganged two of these 30A supplies together in parallel to provide 60A. I did this using two high-current diodes to prevent one supply from pushing current into the other (because the two supplies will have slightly different voltage settings. You can up regulate the voltage settings on the supplies to offset the 0.6V drop across the diodes. This works fine for me; I usually draw a total of about 55 amps from the pair, but in initial testing they did produce 60 amps. I did not run them at 60Amps for very long however. Garrett Odell

Dimmer needs to in line after the power supply, not on the 110 volt supply. (Amazon does sell a dimmer) If you are going to place this near where you will be, I would get one without a fan. The fan in this one is annoyingly loud and I sent unit back because of the noise.

There is a adjustment, I set mine to 13.5 vdc. I think it can be varied from 11 vdc to about 15 vdc.
