Everything you need in one book
This is by far the most comprehensive text for Risk Adjustment on the market. If you are learning or a professional in the field you will want to add this book to your library. You will find instant knowledge at your fingertips every time you open the cover. I appreciate the way the author explains what I need to know in a precise and engaging way. Nothing worse then a book that seems to drone on and on. Last, most texts I have found give you little bits of information but this author packs everything you need inside. As an educator myself I can't tell you how frustrating it is to have to balance multiple books to get your point across to a student. Everything you need is in this one!

Super Textbook and Excellent Reference
Congratulations to Sheri Poe Bernard, CCS-P, CDEO, CPC, CRC to authoring Risk Adjustment – Documentation & Coding. The glowing recommendation by Dr. Kennedy in the foreword is right on target. This book is a gem. In preparing for an upcoming webinar, I have found Sheri’s book to be a valuable resource. As our healthcare system adapts from a fee-for-service model to a quality model, Risk Adjustment and Hierarchical Category Conditions (HCCs) will guide our system to delivering appropriate services with fair reimbursement. This book is a valuable resource to help you today and prepare for tomorrow.Michael Warner, DO, CPC, CPCO, CPMA

FINALLY a comprehensive and easy to understand Risk Adjustment Guide!
I've been waiting for a reliable book on risk adjustment, and Ms. Poe has outdone herself! Everything is broken down perfectly and I can track back to all the resources I need. The tests are great and the appendices very, very helpful. I tested for my CRC certification and failed by two points because I was somewhat deficient in understanding the different models. I retest in a few weeks and with the newly gained knowledge in this book I'm confident I'll pass!!

Well Done Book
This is a well done resource. While I did spot a few minor things that have changed since the book was written, in total, it's an amazing resource for coders, clinicians, and clinical documentation improvement specialists. I recommend this book to any of those folks - even if you aren't directly working on risk adjustment. It's just good advice period.Garnette RHIA, CCS

Great text and RA source!
This is the best textbook I've ever read! I've been a CDI specialist for almost 3 years and this book gives a great in depth understanding of HCCs and Risk Adjustment! I will be totally prepared for the CRC exam, sooner than I had expected! Thank you very much, Ms Poe!
