After purchasing this bulb, I happened on a video comparing different companies versions of the LED flame bulb. I was worried, as the visual quality of the flame effect varies between companies from very realistic to overly pixelated. The flame on this version looks realistic enough. My main issue is that this is one of those bulbs that has both a "flame" function as well as a "constant on" function, and it arbitrarily switches between these two functions each time it is turned off and back on. As I planned to use the bulb in an outdoor lamp post that automatically turns on by a timer, this means it will only be in flame mode every other night. Wish I had been aware of this feature before purchasing. If you plan to use it in a lamp that is manually switched on by the user, the flame effect itself is pretty good.

Originally when the bulb came (and it took some time to arrive), I couldn't get the bulb to work. It came on but did not flicker. I contacted the Seller who immediately got back to me and said that if there were any problems, he'd refund the money or give me a new bulb. He also suggested that due to the way the light bulb works, I should try turning my device on and off. The reason is the bulb has two modes -- regular light and then flicker. So, if the bulb doesn't flicker, play around with your lamp. The Seller, whose name is Simon, was right on point. Thanks Simon!!

When I originally received the item the first time, I gave it a one star review. It stopped working for me within 24 hours. After having seen my review, the seller contacted me and Attempted to troubleshoot the problem with me. Unfortunately that did not work. Very happy with my sale!!

I put this in an outdoor post lamp (with frosted glass) and it looks amazingly like a natural gas flame from the street - it's a very cool effect. There is a trigger in the mechanism that requires you to flip the light on/off then back on a second time to toggle between the flame effect and a standard stationary light - this makes this fine for a light with a switch, but would be problematic for lights controlled with a photocell (the flame effect would alternate every other day). There was a slight delay in getting this from overseas due to the holidays, but the seller was responsive and provided tracking information. I am happy with every aspect of the purchase.

The carriage lights on my home now look like old time gas lights. The all on or flickering on wasn't explained in the material or on the box, but once I learned to flip the switch controlling them twice all is good. The effect is very realistic from even a couple of feet away.

At the base of the bulb, there is a metal screw that should serve to complete the circuit. This screw literally fell out of the plastic hole that I'm guessing should be lined with matching threaded metal. It's just a plastic hole that's too big for the screw. Bulb won't work. First product in many years that I've needed to return. And now we get to see how well this vendor stands behind their products.

It's an all right flame bulb. Definitely on the cheap side but that was apparent in the low price.The flame effect is not as smooth as others but it does the trick. I have mine in Moroccan lanterns and it looks nice.

Bulbs worked perfectly. Absolutely resembled a gas fired lantern. In our outdoor carriage style lights it was great.
