Please don't buy this book. First of all, I'm from South Korea and, English is not my mother tongue, even though I can quickly figure out that this book has lots of errors. For example, misprinted question numbers, answers, and explanations of the questions don't match frequently. I uploaded one of the misprints from the book. Please refer to them.

My wife is not originally from the US, so she is always looking for ways to improve her English. I ordered this book for her as another resource for her to use. As other reviewers have mentioned, there are some mistakes in the book, but overall it is a good reference. Since my wife does not plan to take the TOEIC test, it's fine that the book is not perfect. But I am confident after looking through it that it will help improve her English.

Excellent book

Excellent book for TOEIC skills' assessment and preparation. Do not expect a whole grammar or oral skills book!This book is well structured, first it gives you indications of the rules and test's scoring system. Then it gives you an example of every type of possible questions in the test and its direct relation to the English grammar skill needed to address the question, so the student can make a whole review in another book or in direct "face to face" classes with a teacher. Also, there is a short chapter explaining the best strategy to study for this test.Then there is a short test so you can have a precise assessment of your grammar and listening weaknesses. Right after that there are complete "TOEIC Style" tests where you can learn strategies for taking the test and controlling the time. Right after every test there is a "key" to evaluate the test and an "explanatory" section to help you understand those right answers. The audio provided with the book is only related to the questions for all the exercises (tasks) and tests in the book. Do not expect any "explanatory" track since all the explanatory answers have been written in the book.///The weaknesses I found?Although the book explains all the areas of the TOEIC test, it lacks an "official" test form so you get familiar with the actual test sheet when the "D" day arrives!This book also lacks an "score interpretation" section in terms of "what is your actual english skill level" and "what kind of job you are able to do" when you get any given score. This information is crucial in order to set a clear goal depending of the use o position you are currently looking for in order to take this test. However, all that info can be reviewed in the official TOEIC web page.Overall, the book is very good if you plan to take the test and you need to identify your weaknesses and prepare a strategy for taking the test. However, if you are looking for a book that actually explains grammar or oral skills you must get an English course or person to person English classes with a native speaker.Good Luck with your TOEIC preparation!
