Just like you get in a restaurant!
I have tried several brands and this one is the best and the most similar to what you get in a Thai restaurant. I have this on subscribe and save :-)I put three heaping tablespoons into a French press and let it steep. Then I add the tea, sweetened condensed milk, and cut it with some regular milk. Perfection!

Surprisingly Good Thai Tea
I like restaurant variety Thai Tea. I'm pretty sure it's just powder blend for most places, but the combination of slight bitterness and sweetness of condensed milk/sugar always makes me happy. We've bought packets before that are ready to mix, meaning add boiling water and stir, but something about those felt just a bit lacking (less tea and more sugar only flavoring). I was looking for more. After searching the forums, this particular brand popped up. I found it locally, but it was over 2x the cost of Amazon, so I ordered online instead. Prep is simple, but does require some sort of french press or strainer setup. Boil water, steep tea, strain tea, add sweetened condensed milk, add sugar, stir, cool. You can optionally then serve immediately over ice, or fridge it until cold, then serve over ice. I'm partial to the former as I don't mind it dilute, but my wife likes it stronger and would rather wait for it to chill in the fridge.Either way, it's a fun process to make (feels rewarding), and lets you customize your drink to your flavor profile. Is it cheaper than the ready mix packets? Technically, yes, but that doesn't include your time to make the drink. If you want a better flavor with control over your drink, this is the route I'd recommend.

Yumm yumm
It is delicious! Adjust the recipe to your liking. I did 1 1/2 cups of tea leaves for 4 cups of boiling water and steeped for 8min. Good value for your money too.

Expensive, but worth it.
We love Thai tea, my roommate especially. It is easy to go to the Thai restaurant, 2 blocks down, every day in the Summer to get a glass, but it is over $8 a glass now (it was less than $5 when we started). That is more than a Grande Coffee drink at Starbuck's, for the same size. It is even more than a Venti. Anyway. I asked them how they made it and they said it was a mix they get at the "International/ Asian Market. I couldn't find it anywhere. Than one day, one of our friends came over with 4 bags of it, and was IT... I have no idea where he got ad he couldn't remember. So Now have a package as reference of the correct brand. I came to Amazon and there you were.. Thank You ! Thank You ! Thank You !

Mother approved
I buy this for my mother and she absolutely loves it. She hates the price of it from the store so she makes it at home.
