Excellent light for utility spaces
A neat unit - well made and simple to install. I removed the existing rose and fitted the mounting bracket. The L and N wires press fit into the built in connector block and are secured with the usual compress screws. Then the light simply clicks into place on the bracket. Easy. Have bought two more for other utility rooms.

Great Quality
Really bright light LED so very energy efficient easy to fit and use. There is no noise with the light either.

Very bright, with some issues.
The first thing I’d say is I’m very impressed with the light output, the fittings look okay & they’re cheap. However, as can be seen from photos on other reviews, installation isn’t always straightforward.Part of the fitting’s specification is its water resistance. There is a gasket around the terminal cover to assist with this. If single insulated cable (or stripped flex etc) is used, the gasket won’t seal the cover. A correctly sized & stripped flex needs to be used to maintain water resistance - which is where we come to issue number 2.Most uk lights are wired using the ‘looped in’ method. This means you will normally encounter a minimum of two cables, each containing three wires. On most fittings there will be three cables (nine wires) and occasionally there may be a looped supply to another lamp, totalling twelve wires! These fittings have provision for a maximum of four wires, two ‘live’ (switch wires) & two neutral. That’s assuming you use flat 2-core flex, or you’ll be back to losing water resistance. This leaves you with a couple of problems - firstly you’ll need some flex, which isn’t provided. Secondly, you’ll need to make the other wires off safely. The usual solution is to stick them into connector blocks, joining the switch wire & neutral connections onto your flex & stuffing the blocks into the ceiling, leaving the flex dangling to connect to the fitting. This doesn’t comply with the wiring regulations though & definitely limits the water resistant qualities.Assuming you find your way around that issue, there are another couple of minor niggles. One is what first appears to be a good idea - the metal bracket the unit clips onto. A sensible design would have clips that disengaged when pushed, but the designers went for the easier ‘disengage when pulled’ option. There isn’t much space to do this, so unless you have thin & nimble fingers you may end up having to use a loop of string or a long nosed pliers to pull the clips back.(I notice that on the newer model, it comes with attached flex & the clip bracket has been abandoned). Finally, the lamps aren’t replaceable. They’re supposed to last 20,000 hours, which is around the same as a standard LED lamp..... in my experience, LED lamps don’t last 20,000 hours in the real world. When they fail though, I just swap the lamp. When one of these goes, the whole fitting is shot & needs replacing. They’re cheap, but not as cheap as replacement lamps.Overall, I think they’re a worthwhile buy, especially if they can be wired in flex from an accessible joint box. Very bright, so ideal in many situations & good value as long as the lamps don’t burn out too quickly.

Good brand. I would buy again
Gives great light. Could be too white for some people but we have it in a spare room so it doesn't matter. Easy to fit. Just 2 wires as it is double insulated. Took just a few minutes to swap from an older compact cfl fitting. Brighter too

Nice light, shame about the hum.
The fixture is great. Fully sealed and easy to install. All plastic so no earth wire. The light it gives out bright and white. Which we wanted.Annoyingly there is a faint hum/buzz. Like you would expect from an older style fluorescent tube. Watching TV, you wouldn't hear it. But reading a book, it would be very annoying.

Good lighting but a slight buzzing noise
I have this light installed in my bathroom. It’s a good size and looks nice. The light it gives out is excellent with a nice bright light. The colour temperature is also a clean light. The only downside is that if there is no ambient noise you can hear a slight buzzing sound. It’s not really an issue for me but I can see how others might find this concerning.
