I am absolutely thrilled with my purchase of the Nanoleaf Essentials Matter Smart Multicolor Outdoor String Lights Smarter Kit. This kit is a game-changer for outdoor lighting, and I am beyond impressed with its performance and features.One of the first things I noticed was the quality of the cord. Unlike other outdoor lights I've used in the past, this cord doesn't feel flimsy or fragile. It's sturdy and durable, which gives me confidence that it will withstand various weather conditions. This is a huge plus for me as I don't have to worry about the cord getting damaged easily.But what truly sets these lights apart is the vibrant, color-changing feature. The colors are incredibly bright and vivid, adding a beautiful touch to my outdoor space and provide a wide range of colors that can be easily controlled and customized to my liking. This feature is perfect for the upcoming holidays, allowing me to match the lights with the festive color scheme.The Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity are also fantastic additions. They make controlling the lights a breeze, whether I'm inside my house or out in the yard. And the fact that these lights are water-resistant is just the cherry on top.

Truly premium physical quality and design — thick cord, bright bulbs, quality connectors.That said, the connectivity just doesn’t work. I can successfully add them to the Nanoleaf app, but they become unresponsive within an hour. I can add them to HomeKit using Matter, but they never report being reachable in HomeKit.The firmware and app have been updated. I’ve tried resetting and repairing many times. I’ve also contacted Nanoleaf’s tech support who is, at first, unhelpful and pretty quickly, like these lights, unresponsive.

I genuinely love my Nanoleaf Essentials Smart Multicolor Outdoor String Lights. Nanoleaf engineers have designed a beautiful set of lights with a clever physical connection/hanging system. They are easy to attach, detach, move, and operate. We purchased these in July 2024 and have been happily experimenting with where we want to add some more. The lights looked great along the perimeter of our gardens. They added a great atmosphere to our gazebo. I'm going to grab another set so we can sting some of these around our pool. I really appreciate Nanoleaf designing these with both WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. No mater where we put them, we can always easily control them with the app.The cool gem shaped bulbs create a beautiful effect when shining on the roof of our gazebo. The color saturation is incredible. Our whole family loves our new Nanoleaf outdoor string lights...especially our teenagers ;~)Nanoleaf has once again created a brilliant masterpiece!

I'm a fan of Nanoleaf's products so I really wanted to like these lights, but I ended up returning them. The quality and construction is very good. As many reviews have pointed out, the design of the bulbs is unique and very attractive. I did not have any connectivity problems and the Matter support worked great with Google Home. However, if you're seeking lights that can provide warm white light like traditional outdoor patio lights, you're going to be disappointed - the white color temp is too cold for my taste. Furthermore, as many reviews have said in the past, the Nanoleaf software is disappointing. Yes, you can create some fun, animated scenes with these lights. However, for the holidays I was hoping to be able to use a non-animated color palette such as alternating red-white-blue or green-red-white. This does not appear to be possible from the Nanoleaf mobile app.
