Perfect for Beyblade lovers. Near identical to the Japanese version.
The media could not be loaded. The Hasbro Beyblade Soar Phoenix 9-60 GF (Gear Flat) is an attack type Beyblade (Japanese spinning tops) engineered by Takara Tomy (TT; a Japanese toy manufacturer) as a collaboration to market the newest generation of Beyblade in the US. It comes with a red Beyblade X string launcher, a red painted Blade called “Soar Phoenix” or “Phoenix Wing” in Japan, “9-60,” a 9-sided rachet that looks 3-sided but has 6 smaller bumps to make it 9 in total, and a bit (the part of the Beyblade that makes contact with the stadium floor) called “GF” which stands for “Gear Flat” and allows the bey to speed around the stadium to make more attacks at the cost of a loss of stamina. Soar Phoenix is supposed to be one of the dominant beys in the X meta since it is heavier than most. Upon closer inspection I noticed that the central image is foggy, or has a hazy film of some sort over it, which is odd. But anyway, I find the best part that comes with this bey is actually the red and black string launcher that works just as well as its Takara Tomy counterpart in Japan. It seems to be made with the same materials but has slight differences in the coding/print. Essentially they are identical in every other way, and I can confirm that the Japanese attachments like the TT launcher handle does fit nicely on the Hasbro Beyblade X string launcher and it stays on very securely. I counted 11 rotations as I slowly pulled the string to the maximum limit (as a disclaimer never pull the string all the way to the limit during use as you will eventually break the launcher). In conclusion, the Soar Phoenix Beyblade starter set is well worth the money due to the included string launcher and the useful parts that it comes with. It should be very welcomed by any fan of Beyblade and the fact that it can keep up with its Japanese version makes it so much more valuable IMHO. I approve of this starter set wholeheartedly, a rarity especially for me, a man who has been grievously offended by Hasbro’s sales strategy and cost-cutting measures for the last decade or so. If Hasbro can keep bringing the right materials and matching TT’s high quality standards, then I will continue to give them my time and efforts to put good reviews in their favor, and should they ever falter… I will put my time and effort into saving you your time and money, in your favor.

Average.
If it doesn't knock the opponent out within a few seconds, it will lose. Good hit power, but if it misses it doesn't last. My win percentage against my son is under 50% wins.
