the charger for my descent mk3 i was flimsy and broke easily as well as being a usb-c connection which i had no plugs for. this charger is much better than the official

Totally functional
It works as a replacement of the official product. The official adaptor comes with a rubber pad on where the clamp touches the screen of the watch. This adaptor does not but it doesn’t bother me.OTOH, the clip is a bit slippery to open; otherwise, I would have given it 5 stars.

OK for charging, DO NOT USE FOR DATA!
This works fine for simply charging a Garmin watch, but it does not work when you need to use it for data connections, e.g. to a computer. File copies either don't complete or get corrupted, and it's caused my Windows PC to blue screen.I have since bought a genuine Gamin cable for data transfer and it works flawlessly. This cable is false economy unless you solely require a charging cable.
